Happy New Year

It was a great Year. Polish drum magazine"Perkusista" published things that I'm really proud of. 
It will remind me a great time I had this year:
- Thomas Lang Drum Camp that I've organized at Drum Academy Poland
- my nomination for the best Modern Drummer 
- my visit in LA at Big Drum Bonanza
- JP Bouvet Camp that I've organized with Drum Academy
- the award for the best drum school of the YEAR 2014  for DRUM ACADEMY POLAND.

When I created this school last year I couldn't dream up a more perfect summary.
I'm really grateful and I'm looking forward for a New Year and new possibilities.

Big Drum Bonanza memories

Big Drum Bonanza was waiting for me somewhere around the corner, but until the last I did not know if I could go. The circumstances in my profession are simple: the holiday season is a concert time. During those months musicians in Poland have much more gigs and we play a lot. I had to make a decision: give up my work for a month, buy a ticket and get on a plane to USA or stay and wonder how it would be if I went there? 

Thomas Lang invited me to his Big Drum Bonanza as a thank you gift for organizing two of his Drumming Boot Camps and two clinics in Poland.
Krystian, director of AR at DW Poland, was right saying that I can not miss this opportunity. I had only a month till the start of Bonanza, and getting a US visa was the biggest problem, because I had to wait two weeks for the appointment in the consulate  (yes, Poland still needs to get a visa to go to USA - sick). Krystian encouraged me that I can get things done in a month. I took the risk, and a week before departure I received a passport and my visa to the US.

The journey from Warsaw to Los Angeles lasted 15 hours, and I had this feeling that it was going to be a journey of my life.

This was my second time in LA and I cannot describe the amazing feelings that I get about this city. The fact, that such a great music has been created here, that so many of the greatest musicians and artists live here, makes me feel that I'm in the center of the universe.

BIG DRUM BONANZA

The classes began on Monday. Thomas and his wife Elizabeth greeted us warmly.
They filled us in about what was coming up within the next week. The schedule was intense, from 9am until 1 pm we had practical classes, then a break for lunch. From 3pm we had Masterclasses with special guests at the Drum Channel and live shows starting 5pm.

Festival Opole

Opole is one of the biggest Music Festival in Poland. In this year I had a chance to play there with polish pop star - Mrozu.

Thomas Lang Drumming Bootcamp

It was one of the best weekends of my life. These guys in that video made it happen.
Thomas Lang's Drumming Bootcamp is life changing experience. Since that time I've changed, my drumming evolved and without a doubt I'm on the right path to reach my goals.
With Drum Academy.pl we are bringing Thomas Lang to POLAND again on March 2014 so other drummers could share this experience with us.

It's winter outside but I hope you guys are doing fine,

My Birthday

What an amazing time. This year again I spent my birthday with my love, my drums and people I respect, adore and admire. We had Thomas Lang Drumming Bootcamp and it happened  to be on my Birthday
Trying to prove that everything is possible, one of my dreams came true. I met Thomas Lang and we had great Camp in Poland. I still can't believe it.

After that I was in Rome for a few days but I couldn't  stop thinking about drumming here is a video :)
After Camp I have a lot of energy to practice more and do more.
Plans are big. Drum Academy is getting bigger and we want to do more drum invents in the future.
I'm also very happy and honoured to announce that I was invited to write drum lessons for Top Drummer Magazine and that's what I'm doing right now - writing down all my drum methods and ideas for practing to share it with you guys. Can't wait.
